Our Long term TJ / AOL Prep classes for 6th and 7th grade students are held weekly on Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm, roughly divided between Math and English classes (1.5hrs each). These classes cover the major concepts taught for each grade level, as well as additional topics needed for AOL STEM and TJ tests.

Math review class on Thursday evenings
6th grade: 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm; 7th grade: 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm

*Closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s
~35 weeks, 3 hours per week = 105 hours
Max 10 students per class
Fees (textbooks & materials included): $225 per month
6th Grade:
- Math: Foundations of Algebra & Algebra Fundamentals with additional Math Counts and Math Olympiad problems.
- English: Students work on evidence based reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing and grammar skills
- Spatial Reasoning: Spatial Reasoning is a skill takes time to develop. 6th graders will work on 2D objects. These classes are held a few times a month
- Science: Readings in science topics are included as part English Reading Comprehension
7th Grade:
- Math: Algebra 1 with Math Counts / AMC plus additional concepts to cover TJ and AOL Math parts.
- English: Students work on evidence based reading comprehension, vocabulary, writing and grammar skills
- Spatial and Critical Reasoning: Spatial Reasoning is a skill takes time to develop. 7th graders will expand into 3D objects. Classes are held periodically, in lieu of English classes, where students are taught to think and analyze verbal and non-verbal problems critically
- Science: Readings in science is included in each class as part English Reading Comprehension. Science problem solving concepts specific to AOL and TJ tests are worked on periodically to help students understand the type of problems that they will encounter in TJ and STEM test
